Dr. Michael Grant
Dr. Michael Grant, born and raised in Los Angeles, California is the President/CEO of El Gato Productions, LLC. Dr. Grant is the creator of an animated feature based on his animated music video and novel. Dr. Grant, an educator, author, actor, singer, and songwriter holds a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish, a Master's degree in Education Administration, and a Doctorate degree in Education Administration and Institutional Management. In the educational arena, Dr. Michael Grant has served as a teacher, bilingual multicultural specialist, manager, administrator and professor.
Dr. Grant has studied acting with legendary acting coaches Jeff Corey and Al Ruscio; as well as, legendary vocal coach Seth Riggs who has worked with over 120 Grammy Winners that include: Stevie Wonder, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Prince, Julio Iglesias, Tina Turner, Madonna, Natalie Cole and Josh Groban (first album only).
In the music world, Dr. Grant has worked with the legendary H.B. Barnum, Arranger/Musical Director for Aretha Franklin, the late Barry White, Lou Rawls, and many others.
In addition, as singer/songwriter, Dr. Grant teamed with the late Bob Esty, legendary producer/arranger for such legendary artists as Barbara Streisand, Donna Summer, Dusty Springfield, Cher, Fleetwood Mac, and many others. Since 1984, Dr. Grant has been a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
Further, Dr. Grant has worked with Brian Ross, International Music Commission, United States of America and President & Executive Producer of Starborn Records International who was involved with a project which collectively raised well over $100 Million. The song was: WE ARE THE WORLD. The writers were Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and the cause was U.S.A. For Africa.
In the sports world, Dr. Grant a former ALL-City Gymnastics Champion holds a Black Belt Degree in Shotokon Karate; the oldest school in America.
Beyond the entertainment world, Dr. Grant has been greatly honored for his achievements as an educator, including being awarded the International Peace Prize for outstanding personal achievements to the good of society as a whole by the authority of the United Cultural Convention sitting in the United States of America; Awarded Medal of Honor and appointed Vice President, World Congress of Arts, Sciences and Communications; Awarded "The Statesman's Award," as well as having garnered the prestigious title, "Ambassador of Grand Eminence" (A.G.E.) that carries with it Diplomatic worth as well as Nobel and Dignified connotations; Recognized as "Educator of the Year" for 2006 by the International Biographical Association and inducted into the "Hall of Fame" as well as being appointed Honorary Director General (DDG) which is Recognized, Respected and Honored all over the world. Dr. Grant is also listed in "Who's Who of American Education" and has been since 1994.
